Thoracic radiculopathy is developed by whatever affects nerve roots, including diabetes mellitus, herniated disc, herpetic neuralgia, and compressed vertebral bodies. However, neurogenic tumor is seldom considered in the differential diagnosis of the thoracic radiculopathy due to the low incidence. We herein report a case of thoracic radiculopathy caused by neurogenic tumor. The radicular pain had been refractory to treatments for several years. We could not make a diagnosis until thoracic spinal magnetic resonance imaging revealed the neurogenic tumor in the paravertebral space. Clinical manifestation alone is not enough to discern the neoplasm, which leads to delay in adequate treatment. We suggest that neurogenic tumor should be considered as a rare cause of thoracic radiculopathy.
